Recently, Sinoma-EC signed an energy conservation service contract of WHR project for industrial silicon smelting production line with Yunnan Yongchang Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. which was the controlled enterprise of Yunnan Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd. Sinoma-EC would provide design, financing, construction, and commissioning and operations management to WHR project in the service mode of Energy Management Contract. During cooperation period, Sinoma-EC will share the energy conservation benefits with Yunnan Yongchang Silicon Industry Co., Ltd. After the expiration of the cooperation period, Sinoma-EC will hand over the project to Yunnan Yongchang Company. This project will put into operation in June, 2011 as planned.
For this project, we use the waste heat generated from industrial silicon smelting production line of Yunnan Yongchang Company to generate power. The installed capacity is 12MW. Annual power generation is about 78 million kwh. Annual coal savings is about 30,000 tons. Annual reducing emission of CO2 is about 84,000 tons.
Yunnan Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd. is dedicated to five leading industries of aluminum, lead and zinc, titanium, silicon and manganese. The Group integrates mining, beneficiation, smelting, chemical industry, metal processing, geological exploration, scientific research, engineering design, civil construction, domestic and overseas trade, equipment manufacture and metallurgical high education. At present, CYMCO is one of the top 500 Chinese enterprises and one of the ten large-scale enterprises of Yunnan Province to be supported mainly by the provincial government. The successful sign of this project will expand the cooperation between Sinoma-EC and the member enterprises of Yunnan Metallurgical Group and will enlarge market share of Sinoma-EC in the energy conservation field of ferrosilicon industry at the same time.
In recent years, Sinoma-EC constantly increases the technology and R&D strength, carry on the independent innovation and actively expand the business to the other fields except cement industry. SEC has successfully extended the business to various industries such as carbon, glass, steel and silicoferrite etc. using its comprehensive advantages of capital, technology and management to make the business areas of company broader. This project, as the third energy conservation investment project of Sinoma-EC in Yunnan, marks that the significant progress is made in the investment business of cross-industry and cluster by Sinoma-EC.
